How I Do Momentum Journaling to Help Me Stay Fully Booked!!

Jul 09, 2025

I've never been good at sticking to a plan. Literally ever.

Even when I started my business, as soon as I'd make a plan I'd immediately want to rebel against it. I learned how to work with my brain pretty quickly though and my business was making $5000/month consistently within my first 5 months.

I did have to figure out however how to get and STAY fully booked even when I didn't want to follow the "plan".

I started using what I now call MOMENTUM JOURNALING.

It's so simple and I'm going to walk you through it right now.

📓 How to Do Momentum Journaling 📓

I write two questions on a piece of paper.

1. What am I currently working on in my life or business?

2. What could I do today/this week to make a sale of X?

Then I spend a few minutes answering each.

Question 1: What am I currently working on in my life or business?

The reason I love this question is it helps me come up with content that is focused on Documenting vs Creating. I'm sure it was Gary V. or someone like him who said this first. But the 'just document what you're doing' premise is that you don't have to sit down and THINK "Okay what could I post today?" and instead you can just document and share what you're working on.

For example: if I'm currently onboarding a new client I'll share a behind the scenes of what that looks like and walk my audience through how I onboard a new client.

Or if that day I'm sending all my clients their weekly ads update emails I'll create an IG post about what those reports entail.

Creating content for me is so much easier if I'm just taking my audience along for the ride with me.

Question 2: What could I do today/this week to make a sale of X?

First step here is obviously you gotta know what you want another sale of. 💸💸💸

So if I have openings I'm trying to fill in my DWY Ads or Ads Management I start there. If not, I'll focus on selling my guide to how I write and sell ebooks!

The reason I LOVE this question is because it gets you out of the planning phase and into action. You don't have to create a 6 week launch strategy, you need to figure out what next steps will lead you to your next sale.

And if you're doing this everyday and NOT taking the action then you'll know exactly why it's not working.

Sometimes this ends up being "email my list about my current openings" or "write a blog post related to ebooks" or "follow up with my 3 hottest leads" or "share a current clients wins in my IG feed".

Then I make sure that I prioritize doing 1-3 things on the list of ideas I came up with.

I try to do Momentum Journaling everyday. But even if I only do it 2-3x a week I notice a huge difference in how I FEEL about my business.

Please let me know if you try it!! I'd love to hear how it goes for you.
